More about A Day of Empowerment: Celebrating International Women's Day at Government Junior Secondary School, kado-kuchi, Abuja
Greetings to all on this special occasion of International Women's Day! Today, I had the privilege of visiting Government Junior Secondary School, and it was truly an inspiring experience.
In line with the spirit of empowerment, we distributed sanitary pads to the incredible young girls at the school. Menstrual hygiene is a crucial aspect of a girl's education, and I believe that by addressing these needs, we are helping to remove barriers that might hinder their pursuit of knowledge.
But that's not all – in recognition of academic excellence, I had the honor of gifting a brand new laptop to the female student who demonstrated outstanding performance. This initiative, made possible by the Centre for Gender Values and Culture, is a small way of encouraging and celebrating the brilliance of our young minds.
On this International Women's Day, let us continue to strive for a world where every girl has the opportunity to thrive and achieve her dreams. Education, empowerment, and recognition are key, and I am committed to supporting these endeavors every step of the way.
Thank you to everyone who made this day possible, and here's to a future where our young women can reach their full potential. Happy International Women's Day!
